Last weekend gave a possibilty to brew a new batch beer again, this time I chose to brew a Pale Lager with Amarillo hops. A base with Hercules hops and then a lot of Amarillo. Great day evn though it was raining to brew, started early in the morning so I was finished during mid day and then only to clean the gear and had the rest of the day to enjoy calm and rest a bit.

The beer became somewhat higher OG than I planned… the goal was 1.057 and I ended up to 1.078 and my guess is that I had a wrong amount of water during sparge which gave the high OG. Clear and pale brown colour which I will be waiting eagerly to be done.

In a few days it is time to dry hop the beer with a Amarillo – what else 🙂
