MAUNTAIN HAZY NEIPA

Yesterday was a rainy day and what a better way to spend your day than brew a batch beer. First time I got myself into making a NEIPA and totally own recipy. I used pilsner, oats, wheat, carapils and vienna grains and just a 5g of East Kent Goldning in the boil but lots of hops in the hop stand in the end.

The OG landed on 1.069 a bot short från the target 1.071 but it tasted citrusy and flowery so I have my hopes for it. However problems of chilling it to +18C due to the summer weather here in Claymountain and since I do not have a glycol chiller I have to change the water and add ice-cubes every other hour in order to be able to be somewhere near the temperature. Now it will be pending different temperatures for 10 days before dry hopping it with 100g Azacca and 100g Mosaic. 3 weeks there will be ’hazy juice’ in the keg… Wish you all a great summer!

The fermententing has really kicked on and has a great sound to a home brewers ears 🙂 See the recipy below:

Here is a picture of the NEIPA – first test 19th of June 2021 – Hazy NEIPA – a fair taste of citrus, grapes, lime, ’earth’ ”I call it FRUIT SALLAD” with low bitterness in the end. Happy home brewer.
