Mauntain NEIPA – MANDBAV
Yesterday was a brew day 🙂 Always great to brew a batch of beer. I hadn’t planned to brew a NEIPA but IPA, however I realised that I had a big bag of Mandarina Bavaria hops in the freezer and these were somewhat old (always been in the freezer) and due to that I decided to use the whole amount of hops etx. 380g and brew a NEIPA.
The boil got 8g Northern Brewer in the bottom and about 150g in late tosses in the boil plus 59g in dry hop. Rest of the hops will be dry hopped in two occasions about 90g of each – I might, not made my mind yet, to toss in some Simcoe as well…
Well, the day went well and I managed to produce a intense yellow wort. Really liking the colour, if you ask me – see the picture below.
Tomorrow will be a new brew day, since I need to ’brew’ beer for the spring and it will be a Pale Ale day – a refreshing Pale Ale to enjoy with friends in the coming spring. However, I’m low on beer so I need to ’stack up’ a few kegs.
In the coming weeks in the end of the January I will start brewing NEIPA with Simcoe, Mosaic and El Dorado since several of my friends have been asking me to learn them to brew and they have really liked the so called ’Breakfast Juice’. Now they get the chance to come by, do som BBQ and brew their own beer. That’s great if you ask me!
