UPCOMING BREW DAY – MAUNTAIN BALTIC PORTER
I have tasted a few great Baltic Porters lately and became interested in brewing one myself, a good porter is never wrong and it is still ’winter’ in the southern part of Sweden so why not?
Planning to brew this recipe in Saturday 20/3 or Sunday 21/3-21. The recipe below is original and I have not decided yet if I am going to make any changes or other alternation to it… ?
Probably will toss in 1-2% Melanoidin grain, not sure yet – having a feeling that it will give extra to the body and some sweetness as well…. even though there is chocolate and carahell malt? Eeh – will see in Saturday 6th of March. Perhaps 6-8% of Maltodextrin to create a thicker body in the porter?
