MAUNTAIN VSTOUT

This black gold with distinctive vanilla aroma is soon ready to enjoy. The beer has been bottled yesterday and it should have ’carbo’ ready this coming weekend 5-6/3. Looking forward to see how it develops in the bottles and how the arome and taste will be refined. The brew was a test for me since […]

MAUNTAIN FIZYHAIZ

Tomorrow it it time to put this lovely orange/yellow stuff in to bottles. Whether you called it IIPA, DIPA or American IPA is not the most important part of brewing… as long as it is drinkable and enjoyable = good balance of hops and malt. 22L waiting for its change to get enjoyed by beer […]

MAUNTAIN IPA *IIPA*

Imperial Indian Pale Ale according to the recipe but I call it IPA even though it was dry hopped twice with Simcoe, Amarillo and Styrian Goldnings. Very happy about the result, tasty and hoppy beer – some would describe it Hazy but I don’t know if I would called it that, perhaps. Will be doing […]

MAUNTAIN S-APA

Mums! Great malty ’Strong ALE’ that really tickled my mouth when ready. The first beer to be fermented in my Grainfather Fermenter PRO and able to follow and adjust the temperature through my phone, and not needing to control my storage room’s temperature. Great investment! Will be brewing this one again. I use also Ispindel […]

MAUNTAIN SMASH STOUT

Something that I would call ’ALL-IN’ Stout. Lots different flavours such as chocolate, cacao, coffee, vanilla, pecan nut and brown sugar. It turned out to be a thick black gold in terms of dessert stout. Happy with the result but next time I will be adding lactose to get it even more full-bodied. ABV: 11%

MAUNTAIN DIPA

Dark yellow smudge-coloured double IPA which gave lots taste from the hops – dry hop once after 7 days in the fermenter. My first try of DIPA and I was a bot nervous to dry hop it since I don’t have professional equipment but it went well. Happy neighbour who liked the beer a lot… […]

MAUNTAIN APA

Ostindiefararen – a Swedish word for ’East India Traveller’ – a pale ale with really light body and colour though lots a taste. A beer which will be great to brew next summer 2021. Also a favourite among my friends. ABV: 4.6% (The label says 6% but I was far out from that…)

MAUNTAIN X-ALE

This one was a Anchor Steam Ale clone. I was looking forward to it but it didn’t turn out to be as good as expected. I had problems with ’cold crash’ and it took more than a month it to get carbonated. I use sugar in bottles to create carbo and have not any professional […]
